Everything a burner inbox should do
Real-time inbox
New mail appears within seconds with optional desktop notifications and a soft chime.
Code detection
Verification codes are spotted automatically — copy them with one tap.
Privacy-first reader
Emails render in a locked sandbox. Scripts never run and remote trackers are blocked until you allow images.
Custom names
Pick your own address, choose a domain and lifetime, and juggle several inboxes at once.
Send & reply
Reply to messages or send new ones straight from your temporary address (own-server mode).
Access keys
Open the same inbox on your phone with a private key or restore link — no account needed.
Attachments
Download attachments and see inline images, all handled in your browser.
Self-destruct
Every address has a timer. Extend it if you need more time — otherwise it's wiped for good.
How it works
- 1
Get an address
A random address is created the moment you open the page — or pick your own name.
- 2
Use it anywhere
Paste it into any sign-up form, newsletter or download gate.
- 3
Read & forget
Mail lands here instantly. When the timer ends, the address and every message are deleted.
FAQ
Is it really free?
Yes. VanishBox runs entirely on free tiers (Netlify / Cloudflare Email Routing / standard web hosting) and open-source code. No ads required, no paid APIs.
How long do messages stay?
Until the address expires (shown on the timer) or you delete it. Expired inboxes and their messages are purged automatically.
Can I send email?
On a VanishBox server you can always send to other addresses on this site. Sending to the wider internet works when the operator connects a free SMTP relay. Demo mode (public relay) is receive-only.
Can someone else read my inbox?
Each inbox is protected by a secret access key stored only in your browser. Without it, nobody — including other visitors who guess the address — can read your mail.
What shouldn't I use it for?
Anything important: banking, password recovery for accounts you care about, or anything illegal. Temporary means temporary.
